Services – Set Design for TV productions, theatre and events
My experience in stage and set design has taken me into almost all areas of television, theatre and events. In addition to entertainment, news and magazine programs, I oversee sports productions and major events for ARD and ZDF, BBC Sport, Fox Sports and other clients at home and abroad.
The development of television, theatre and event set design is an important part of my work. This takes place with a variety of partners or project groups.
The organization and implementation of a set design in cooperation with agencies, producers, editors, and sponsors makes up the other important part.
Editorial wishes and graphic requirements are planned and realized after visits to the production location(s). Buildings, transport, set-up and dismantling times and the necessary personnel are calculated and coordinated. Cost controls, as well as the strict adherence to corporate identity, are important cornerstones of my work.
How I work
Design and cost calculation
Development of a space, a set for an event or TV production.
This is done using sketches, drawings and 3D visualisations in close consultation with the customer.
On special request, a haptic 3D model can also be created.
Materials and colours are determined, costs are calculated and schedules for transport and construction are drawn up.
Planning and realization
The design goes into planning and realisation.
Technical and constructive feasibility is checked and adapted according to event standards.
Set elements are manufactured by the selected decoration builder and, if required, set up for a trial assembly and checked visually and technically.
Transport, assembly and final set-up
All the necessary documents for transport and delivery are prepared for the finished set.
Depending on your wishes, I will provide advice and support during the construction and set-up of the set in the relevant location, as well as during the lighting, rehearsals and the first day or several days of the event.
